The official handover meeting marking the transfer of the presidency of the Council working party on statistics from Statec Luxemburg to Statistics Netherlands was held on 17 December 2015.

Luxembourg then gave a detailed account of the state of play of the pending legislative files and formally handed them over to the Dutch presidency.

Following this, Tjark Tjin-A-Tsoi and Daniel von Berg – incoming chair and co-chair respectively - described how the Netherlands intends to continue and build on the work done by Luxembourg and its Trio partners.

The last two presentations were by the Slovak and the Maltese presidency teams, describing how they were preparing and – in as far as possible – which files they foresee for their presidency periods.
